After the Buzzer – Vipers Blanked by Vees

Vernon, BC:  The Vipers ran into a tight penalty kill and some solid goaltending as they fell by a 4-0 score to the Penticton Vees on Friday night.

The first period that saw some good chances and some back and forth play.  In an impressive sequence the game went a good 6-7 minutes without a whistle.  Shots finished 12-8 in the Vees favour in a scoreless tie.

In the second the Vipers had some good possession time but couldn't find the back of the net.  Liam Malmquist opened the scoring for Penticton before Matteo Constantini added another to make it 2-0 after 2.

In the third Tyler Ho added a pair of goals and despite some great looks from the Vipers, they couldn't break the goose egg.

The Vipers will head to Penticton Saturday night for a rematch at 6pm at the SOEC.
