After the Buzzer – Vipers Cap Off Showcase With Blanking of Bulldogs

Chilliwack, BC:  Cam MacDonald and Reagan Milburn provided the offense and Ethan David stopped all 25 shots he faced for his first BCHL shutout in his first BCHL game as the Vipers blanked the Bulldogs 3-0.

The first period looked like a game featuring two teams that played late the night before.  The game didn't see a lot of pace to it however there were some scoring chances and both goaltenders stood tall as the shot finished 9-7 Vernon in a scoreless first.

It took just 9 seconds for the Vipers to get the lead in the second as Jackson Glassford mishandled a puck and Reagan Milburn jumped on it to score his fourth of the campaign to make it 1-0.  Four minutes later Cam MacDonald potted home a rebound in front to make it 2-0.  The Bulldogs came close to making it 2-1, but they hit a goal post before play continued.  At the ensuing stoppage, the officials went and reviewed, but it was determined to be a good call and the period finished 2-0 Vipers.

The Vipers emptied the tank in the 3rd period and were able to extend their lead as Cam MacDonald remained red hot poking a home a rebound for his 4th goal of the season.  The Vipers commitment to defense and shot blocking was on display the rest of the way as the horn sounded for a 3-0 win.

The Vipers have now won 3 in a row and will look to keep the momentum going into an important island swing next week starting in Victoria on Thursday night.
