After the Buzzer – Vipers Downed By Wild

Vernon, BC:  Nick Kent opened the scoring in the first period, but it was all the offense the Vipers would get as they fell to the Wenatchee Wild by a 4-1 score.

The Vipers opened the scoring when a Nick Kent point shot deflected off a Wild player in front of the net making it 1-0.  Wenatchee responded two minutes later on a powerplay as Landon Parker deflected home a shot from the left wall.

The Wild powerplay was a key reason for their offense in the second period as two identical goals were scored by Owen Bohn on cross ice passes from Quinn Emerson.  The second goal came with just 3 second remaining making it 3-1 Wenatchee after 2.

The Vipers had an early flurry of chances, but Andy Vlaha kept the puck out.  The Wild would add another as Ean Somoza struck on a break away.

The Vipers will look to bump the slump on Wednesday night when they play host to the Prince George Spruce Kings at 7pm.
