After the Buzzer – Vipers Downed By Wild

Wenatchee, WA, USA:  Copeland Fricker scored his first BCHL of the season shorthanded, but it was the only goal the Vipers could muster as they dropped a 5-1 decision in Wenatchee.

The first period was back and forth, but scoreless.

The Wild opened the scoring in the second as Cade Littler deflected home a point shot early in the frame.  The Vipers then took three consecutive penalties which kept them hemmed in their own zone.  That was until Seiya Tanaka-Campbell spotted Copeland Fricker who scored a nice shorthanded breakaway goal to even the game up at 1.  The Wild then pounced for two goals in less than two minutes late in the game as Garrett Sydlowski and Parker Murray put their team up 3-1 after 40 mins.

The Wild went up 4-1 on a 5 on 3 powerplay as Brasen Boser scored.  While 4 on 4, Jakob Karpa would be credited with the 5-1 goal.

The Vipers will return home for a Family Day matchup with the Prince George Spruce Kings at 2pm.
