After the Buzzer – Vipers Fall to Vees 4-0

Vernon, BC:  It was close but no cigar night for the Vipers on Sunday against Penticton as the Vipers dropped a 4-0 decision.

The first period had some good pace and good flow and the Vipers had a few chances.  Unfortunately for the home side there were some narrow misses including a point shot that rolled to the goal line but no further, a shot that hit the outside of the net and a puck that walked the red line but went out the other side.  The Vees scored two goals in less than 90 seconds from Frank Djurasevic and Stefano Bottini.

In the second the Vipers killed off a lengthy 5 on 3 and had a couple of good shifts with extended zone time.  The Vees added to their lead after a blocked point shot sent Bottini in on a partial break and he wired one post and in to make it 3-0 after 2.

In the third the Vipers tried to squash the shutout bid, but it would be for not.  Adam Eisele struck on the powerplay for Penticton to make it 4-0.

The Vipers are next in action at home on Wednesday night when they host the Prince George Spruce Kings.
