After the Buzzer – Vipers Tame Wild 4-3

Wenatchee, WA, USA:  Reagan Milburn had 2 goals and an assist, Seiya Tanaka-Campbell had 3 assists and Ethan David made 28 saves as the Vipers downed the Wild for the second time this week.

The Vipers opened the scoring for the second straight game as Seiya Tanaka-Campbell was sprung on a 2 on 0.  He left a tidy pass to Reagan Milburn who snapped it over Tyler Shea to make it 1-0.  The shots finished 11-10 Wenatchee after 1.

The Vipers killed off an early powerplay before getting one of their own.  Reagan Milburn finessed a pass ahead to JoJo Tanaka-Campbell who finished with backhand post and in making it 2-0 on the man advantage.  The Wild responded 2 minutes later as Jakob Karpa slipped shot through Ethan David making it 2-1.  The Vipers had a number of good chances to extender their lead, but after 40 led 2-1.

Reagan Milburn restored the two goal lead converting on a rebound in front for his second goal of the night.  The Vipers then killed off consecutive Wenatchee powerplays.  The Wild cut the game to 3-2 as Garrett Sydlowski was the last Wild to touch a puck that rattled around off of some skates before finding the back of the net.  With the goalie pulled Nick Kent hit the empty net making it 4-2.  Garrett Sydlowski added a goal late to make it 4-3, but that’s as close as they would come.

The Vipers will look to sweep the week tomorrow night at 7pm at the Town Toyota Center.
