Big Week for Vipers Alumni

Vernon, BC:  It was a big week for Vernon Vipers Alumni as Brett Stapley, Darion Hanson and Chris Jandric were given awards.

Brett Stapley was named NCHC rookie of the week at Denver.  Ending the weekend with a goal and two assists, while winning 12 faceoffs.  The Campbell River product is riding a four-game point streak with five points in that span.

Chris Jandric took home the WCHA rookie of the week at Alaska.  The Prince George product topped all defensemen and rookies with 2 goals and 2 assists.  Nationally, Jandric’s four points tied for second among NCAA freshmen and third for any blueliner.

Darion Hanson was named ECAC goalie of the week at Union.  Hanson came up big in Union’s win over Quinnipiac stopping 34 of 35 shots.  Hanson now ranks second in the league for save percentage.
