Game Day – Vipers Host Wild in Game 3

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers look to jump back ahead in their playoff series against the Wenatchee Wild tonight for game 3 of their best of seven series.

The Vipers (1-1) return home following a split in Wenatchee over the weekend.  The Vipers won Game 1 by a 3-0 score then narrowly fell short 2-1.  Matt Kowalski scored the lone goal in the loss.  Reilly Herbst continued his strong play stopping 19 of 21.  The Vipers PK was red hot again in Game 2 going 5 for 5.

The Wild (1-1) were able to even up the series on Sunday.  Defensively they didn’t surrender a lot just 15 shots against.  Brian Adams scored a crucial goal shorthanded in second period of game 2.  Ethan Wolthers would add the insurance goal a few minutes later, which stood up as the game winner.  Daniel Chenard stopped 14 of 15 for the victory.

The Vipers have had a lot of success against Wenatchee at home this season winning all three games by 6-4, 7-3 and 4-3 scores.
