Game Day! – Vipers Look To Clinch Series

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers know this will be the hardest game of the series to date as they look to eliminate the Wenatchee Wild in Game 5 of the best of seven series.

The Vipers (3-1) were able to win both games at home on Tuesday and Wednesday.  In Game 4 it was a tight hockey game that went down the wire, ultimately finishing 6-4 in the Vipers favour.  The line of Dawson Holt (5 points), Connor Marritt (4 points) and Cam MacDonald (4 points) drove the bus offensively.  Reilly Herbst was solid in goal stopping 31 shots.

The Wild (1-3) jumped out to an early 2 goal lead in Game 4 thanks to goals from Quinn Emerson and Noah Lugli.  Brian Adams scored his 2nd shorthanded goal of the series to cut the deficit to 4-3 at the time.  Daniel Chenard made 27 saves in the loss.

Special Teams for the first time in the series weren’t much of a factor as neither team scored on the powerplay and Wenatchee scored shorthanded.

You can catch game 5 starting at 6:45 on 107.5 Beach Radio, stream on Vernon Matters or watch on HockeyTV.
