Shostak Commits To Brown

Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce that Ryan Shostak has committed to Brown University for next season.

"Ryan has been able to make himself a very complete player through his hard work and understanding of the game. He plays with detail and consistency," says Head Coach and GM of the Vipers Jason McKee. "The Vipers organization is very excited to see that Ryan will be continuing his hockey and educational goals at Brown University."

Shostak, the Calgary Alberta product, has spent the last three seasons with the Vipers. He has 18 goals, 24 assists in 75 regular season games played including 4 points in 5 playoff games.

"I'm very proud and excited to be furthering my education and hockey development at Brown University," says Shostak. "I want to thank the Vernon Vipers staff, coaches, billets and teammates for helping me accomplish this goal. I'm now looking forward to competing for a championship with this group."

Fellow teammate Zack Tonelli is also committed to Brown University. Another notable Viper Alumni to attend Brown University was Aaron Volpatti.

The Brown University Bears are a Division 1 program and are members of the ECAC. They play out of Providence, Rhode Island.
