Third Commits To Regina

Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce that defenceman Ayden Third has committed to the University of Regina for next season.

"The whole Vipers organization is extremely proud and excited for Ayden's commitment to the University of Regina," says Head Coach and GM of the Vipers Jason McKee. "Ayden's courage, dedication and toughness have defined him as a junior player. Characteristics that will bode well as he transitions to university hockey."

The Regina, SK product has been a mainstay in the Vipers lineup for the last 3 seasons. He finished his junior career with 5 goals and 23 assists. He was the Viper ironman for back to back seasons. Dating back to the pod season, he suited up in 139 straight games.

"I'm very excited to be joining the University of Regina," says Third. "I'm grateful to get the opportunity to play at home in front of my family and friends."

The University of Regina Cougars play in the U Sports Association. They are located in the Canada West Conference and play out of the Co-operators Centre in Regina.
