Vernon Kia Game Day – Vipers Battle Vees in Season Series Final

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers look to complete a perfect week tonight as they travel to Penticton to take on the division leading Vees.

The Vipers (26-20-2-1) come into the game following another 3rd period rally as they came from behind to defeat the Prince George Spruce Kings 2-1 last night.  Connor Marritt scored midway through the 3rd and Connor Sleeth tallied the game winner with just 17 seconds left.  The Vipers still sit a point ahead of the Salmon Arm Silverbacks for 3rd place in the division while improving to 5 points ahead of Wenatchee.  Keegan Karki stopped 18 of 19 for his 2nd win of the season.

The Vees (37-11-1-1) enjoyed the month of November going 10-1.  Penticton has completed their road portion of the season and finish the year with 8 straight at home.  The Vees haven’t played since last Friday (8 days) when they defeated the Merritt Centennials 6-2.  The Vees have won 6 straight games.
