Vernon, BC: The first leg of this lengthy eleven game road trip begins for the Vernon Vipers tonight in Powell River.
The Vipers (8-6-0) come in having won their last 5 games. The last two have been thrillers which include and OT win in Penticton, followed by a OT win at home against Trail. The Vipers scored their first shorthanded goal of the season and Matt Kowalski scored the overtime winner.
Matt Kowalski and Reilly Herbst were named as honorable mentions for this week’s Player of the Week.
The Kings (8-10-0) ended their 7 game losing streak last night when they defeated the Prince George Spruce Kings 4-1. They swung a trade earlier in the week to acquire Derek Krall from the Penticton Vees to help with goaltending depth. Levi Glasman leads the way for the Kings offensively with 7 goals and 10 assists.
