Trail, BC: The Vernon Vipers look to even up their weekend set with the Trail Smoke Eaters tonight at the Trail Memorial Centre.
The Vipers (12-8-1) come into the game following a 5-2 loss. It was a game in which the Vipers didn’t lack in opportunities, but lady luck wasn’t on their side. The Vipers outshot the Smoke Eaters 29-24. Trey Taylor and Cam MacDonald had the Viper goals.
The Smoke Eaters (15-6-2-1) were opportunistic in their approach last night. Despite not having too many grade A opportunities, the ones they did get, they capitalized on. Matteo Paler-Chow in his first start turned aside 27 of 29. Kent Johnson, the BCHL’s leading scorer, added 2 goals in the victory.
The season series is deadlocked at 1 with each team winning a game at home.
You can catch the action from the Trail Memorial Centre starting at 6:50 with the pregame show on 107.5 Beach Radio, Vernon Matters or HockeyTV
