Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce the commitment of 2007-born forward Mykolas Skadauskas for the 2026-27 BCHL season.
The Elektrėnai, Lithuania native joins the Vipers after spending his first season in North America with the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Western Hockey League (WHL), appearing in 34 games during the 2025-26 season.
The 6-foot, 178-pound forward also brings extensive experience from Sweden’s junior hockey system, along with an impressive international résumé. Skadauskas has represented Lithuania at the IIHF Division II World Junior Championships at both the U18 and U20 levels.
“Mykolas has an excellent motor and does a great job of suffocating opposing puck carriers, especially along the wall,” said Head Coach and General Manager Matt Cooke. “He competes extremely hard and brings an element to our group that we really value. His international experience is also a huge asset. He’s represented his country and played meaningful games on a big stage, and those experiences help prepare a player for pressure situations. We’re looking forward to seeing what he can bring to our lineup.”
Skadauskas is excited to continue his North American hockey career in Vernon.
