VIPERS ACQUIRE DEFENCEMAN JACK BOUSQUET FROM LANGLEY

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers have acquired 2007-born defenceman Jack Bousquet from the Langley Rivermen in exchange for a Player Development Fee.

“With Oscar’s injury, we felt it was important to add a defenseman who is game-ready and capable of playing at the pace we require,” says GM and Head Coach Matt Cooke. “Jack brings valuable WHL experience and is an elite skater. We believe his mobility and defensive reliability will strengthen our group and address our immediate needs.”

Bousquet, a Calgary, Alberta product, stands 6’2” and 185 pounds. He split last season between the Canmore Eagles of the AJHL and the Red Deer Rebels of the WHL. This year, he has appeared in 16 games with the Langley Rivermen, logging significant minutes and recording two assists.

Bousquet is expected to make his Vipers debut tonight in West Kelowna.

Please join us in welcoming Jack and his family to the Vernon Vipers organization.
