Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers have acquired 20-year-old forward Rasmus Dahlqvist from the Coquitlam Express in exchange for a Player Development Fee.
The 6’4”, 187-pound Stockholm, Sweden product has recorded 1 goal and 3 assists in 8 games this season with the Express. Last year with Huddinge IK J20, Dahlqvist tallied an impressive 33 goals and 27 assists in 33 games.
He joins fellow Swedes Oscar Bjork and Edvin Nilsson on the Vipers roster. The Vipers believe Dahlqvist’s combination of size and skill will be a strong addition to the forward group.
Vernon will hit the road for a pair of games this weekend in Spruce Grove and Brooks, Alberta.
