Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce the signing of 2005-born goaltender Brendan Gee for the upcoming season.
“When we heard that Brendan was available, we knew he was a player we wanted to build from the net out with,” says Vipers Head Coach and GM Matt Cooke. “He is a proven netminder who is driven to get better, competes every day, and truly embraces the leadership and mentorship opportunity he has been given with the Vipers. He has been nothing but professional and a standout so far in camp.”
Gee, a native of Vancouver, B.C., joins the Vipers after spending the past two seasons with the Wenatchee Wild, where he suited up in 77 games. Last season, he recorded 11 wins while posting an impressive 3.07 goals-against average and a solid .901 save percentage.
“I’m very excited to be joining the Vernon Vipers organization,” says Gee. “It’s a great program with a strong history and I’m grateful to be a part of it. The pedigree of the coaching staff was a big factor in my decision—I know I’ll be pushed to develop every day. I’m also looking forward to playing in front of such a loyal fan base. I can’t wait to start the season and contribute to the team.”
The Vipers are thrilled to welcome Brendan and his family to the organization.
The Vipers play their first preseason game this Friday at 7:00 pm at Kal Tire Place North against the Cranbrook Bucks. Tickets are available at the Vipers Office, at the ticket booth at KTP on Friday, or at the door beginning two hours prior to game time.
Regular season single game tickets are on sale now at the Vipers Office.
