The Vernon Vipers would like to announce that 20 year old forward Cody Fowlie has joined the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL. Kelowna has run into injuries problems of late and have re-called Fowlie to the Western Hockey League. In 3 games with the Vipers Fowlie recorded 1 goal and 1 assist.
The Vipers would also like to announce that forward Brendan Persley has been lost for an indefinite period of time due to a broken ankle. The Kelowna product is scheduled to have surgery to repair the ankle on Tuesday.
Vernon begins a three game home stand this weekend as they host Salmon Arm this Friday and Chilliwack on Saturday at Wesbild Center.
Tickets can be purchased in the Viper office from 9-5 on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday and from 9-game time on Friday and Saturday at the box office.
