Vipers Drop 3-1 Decision To Trail

Vernon, BC - The Vernon Vipers dropped a 3-1 decision to the Trail Smoke Eaters to move their record to 2-and-2 to kick off the 2018-19 season. The Vipers were coming off a 4-3 win over West Kelowna the night before. when they ran into penalty problems against the Smoke Eaters. Trail scored a pair of back to back PP goals following a 5 minute major penalty to Jesse Lansdell who was called for checking from behind. The Viper veteran forward was assessed a 5 minute major and a game misconduct for the hit.

The lone goal scorer for the Vipers was Alex Swetlikoff who had the puck bank off his skate/stick which gave the Vipers an early 1-0 lead before the Smoke Eaters took the lead with the PP goals.
