Vipers Game Day – The Vipers Continue Home Stand Versus West K

Vernon BC:  The Vernon Vipers earned a hard fought shootout win just a few nights ago against the BCHL leading Penticton Vees.  They look to keep that momentum and hard work moving into a huge midweek matchup with the West Kelowna Warriors.

Record:  15-5-1-0

Goals For:  89

Goals Against:  53

Power Play:  19 for 71 – 26.8%

Penalty Kill:  57 of 69 – 82.6%

Last Game:  It was a gutsy performance in the second half of back to back games against a very fresh Penticton Vees team on Saturday night in front of the second largest crowd of the year.  The Vipers had a goal from Maks Percic, his first in the BCHL and a 41 save outing from Ethan David to propel them to a 2-1 shootout win.  The building was electric as the Vipers pushed the Vees in the third period.  Nothing was solved in the overtime.  Anthony Cliche and George Stavrianeas had the shootout goals.

Last Game:  The Warrior won their second straight game on Friday night, 4-3 in overtime over the Merritt Centennials.  It finished off a 3-game home stand that saw them get two wins, one in extra time and one in a shootout.  Callum Hughes led the way with 2 goals including the game winner, Michael Salandra had a goal and an assist, while Brennan Nelson chipped in with 2 helpers.  Rorke Applebee had 32 saves on 35 shots.
