Last Game: The Vipers won their 7th road game of the season after a 3-1 win over the Trail Smoke Eaters last Saturday.  Hank Cleaves had 2 goals and 1 assist in the victory.  Walker Erickson pitched in with a powerplay goal.  Roan Clarke was magnificent in goal with 34 saves on 35 shots.

Tonight’s Game:  Tonight is the third game of a four game road trip for the Vipers and the fifth meeting of the season between the Vipers and Spruce Kings.  These teams haven’t played each other since late October.  Vernon is 5-3-2 in their last 10 games.  Julian Facchinelli, Hank Cleaves and Dylan Compton each have three points against the Spruce Kings this season.  Lee Parks was named the BCHL’s second star of the month including a stretch where he’s had points in all 8 games in the month of February.  The Vipers were 4-2-2 in the month of February.

Penalty Kill: 122 of 161 – 75.8% (15th in BCHL)

Last Game: The Spruce Kings dropped a 4-1 decision last Saturday to the Penticton Vees.  John Herrington had the lone goal, his 20th of the season.  Jordan Fairlie made 24 saves on 28 shots.  PGs powerplay was 1 for 6 and their PK gave up 2 goals on 3 Penticton powerplays.  The Spruce Kings also lost the night before, 4-1 to Powell River.

Today’s Game: This is game 3 of a 4 game homestand for PG.  John Herrington leads the Spruce Kings offensively with 20 goals and 21 assists.  The Spruce Kings have 5 players with 30 or more points.  Ty Gagno has 2 goals and 6 assists against Vernon this season.  Prince George sits 3 points ahead of Vernon in the Interior Conference standings.
