Vipers Game Day! – Vipers Battle Warriors in Friday Matinee

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers survived quite the scare Wednesday afternoon as they improved to 3-0 with a 6-5 OT win over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks, they look to keep the streak moving as they play host to the West Kelowna Warriors for the 2nd time.

The Vipers (3-0) had goals from 6 different sources including the game winner off the stick of Griffen Barr to give the Pod Hosts a 6-5 over time win.  The Snakes saw a 5-1 lead evaporate in the third in what was a good learning lesson for a young group.  Kjell Kjemhus, Nick Remissong and Reagan Milburn also scored their first BCHL goals.  The Vipers powerplay scored for the 3rd consecutive game.  Even strength the Vipers have been very stingy surrendering just 3 goals in 3 games.

The Warriors (1-1-1) come in after a 4-3 overtime loss to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks on Thursday afternoon.  Riley Sharun had a pair of goals in the effort.  Zach Bennett was great in the OTL stopping 33 of 37.  The Warriors rallied from down two goals to force overtime yesterday, a feat that they also did on Sunday afternoon against Vernon.  Powerplays have been a strength of all 3 teams in the POD, but the Warriors PK boasts the best kill percentage at 80%.

Its the second of ten head to head meetings between these two teams.  You can catch all the action starting at 1pm.
