Vipers Game Day – Vipers Continue Pod Season Against Warriors

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers look to build off a solid effort from Wednesday afternoon as they take on the West Kelowna Warriors for the fourth time this pod season.

The Vipers (4-2-1) come into the game following a thrilling 6-5 overtime win on Wednesday afternoon against Salmon Arm.  JoJo Tanaka-Campbell had a pair of goals and Zack Tonelli scored the overtime winner.  One of Tanaka-Campbell’s goals was a shorthanded tally, the third for the Vipers this season.  James Porter Jr. stopped 31 shots for his fourth win in the pod.

The Warriors (3-3-1) come in on back to back games after a 6-4 lost to the Silverbacks.  The Warriors made it close late in regulation time on a Carter Wilkie goal, but the Backs would seal into an empty net.  The Warriors have traded wins and losses in their last 4 games.

To give an example of how tight all three teams are.  Each team has a goal differential of 0.  Salmon Arm has 29 for and against, Vernon has 25 for and against and West Kelowna has 24 for and against.
