Last Game: The Vipers are coming in off a 4-3 shootout loss in West Kelowna last night.  Lee Parks, Seiya Tanaka-Campbell and Jonathan Horn had goals in the effort.  Roan Clarke was impressive with 36 saves.  The Vipers PK continues to be red hot, killing off all three West K powerplays.

Today’s Game:  The Vipers have been very good on home ice this season and they hope to continue that in their first matchup with the Wild this season.  Reagan Milburn has points in 4 straight games (3G, 4A).  Lee Parks also has points in 4 straight (2G, 4A).  Luke Pakulak is the hottest Viper right now with points in 6 consecutive games.  He has 2 goals and 6 assists in that span.  Former Wild forward Jonathan Horn will play his former team for the first time.  He scored his first goal with the Vipers last night.

Wenatchee Wild

Head Coach: Chris Clark

2022-23: GP 23 – 9-12-0-2, 8th Interior Conference

Home: 5-3-0-1

Away: 4-9-0-1

Goals For: 80

Goals Against: 86

Powerplay: 17 for 99 – 17.2% (14th in BCHL)

Penalty Kill: 58 of 79 – 73.4% (18th in BCHL)

Last Game: The Wild were on the wrong end of a back and forth affair last night in Trail.  Wenatchee rallied from a 4-0 deficit to tie the game at five only to give up the game winner with just two minutes remaining in regulation time.  Gabe Dombrowski had a pair of goals.

Today’s Game:  The Wild have bounced back after a slow start to the season.  They recently went on a 6-game win streak.  Up until this week they were unbeaten in regulation in 7 straight games with some key wins over West K, Salmon Arm, Cranbrook and Trail.  Ean Somozoa leads Wenatchee in scoring with 8 goals and 20 assists.  Calgary Flames draft pick Cade Littler sits second on the team with 11 goals and 13 assists.  The goaltending has been split down the middle with both Andy Vlaha and Owen Millward getting half the starts.
