Vipers Game Day – Vipers Host Bucks On Teddy Bear Toss Night

Vernon, BC:  The Vipers look to win their third in a row as they host the Cranbrook Bucks for the first time on Teddy Bear Toss Night at Kal Tire Place.

The Vipers (6-9-3-2) come in following a thrilling 5-3 win over the Trail Smoke Eaters last night.  Cam MacDonald had a pair of goals as the Vipers erased a deficit in the third.  It’s the second straight game the Vipers put up 5 goals.  Matt Culling also extended his point streak to 5 games with the assist on Nick Kent’s goal.  Ethan David was strong in goal stopping 28 of 31 Trail shots.

The Bucks (9-8-1-0) come in having lost their last two games, most recently losing 7-1 last night in Penticton.  The Bucks have been outscored 14-5 in those outings.  Cranbrooks PK has been a strength all season long.  They have the 4th best PK with a percentage of 84.1% and have killed of 58 of 69 chances.  17 year old Tyson Dyck leads the way offensively with 11 goals and 14 assists in just 18 games.  In goal, the Bucks have leaned on 18 year old Nathan Airey who has made 13 appearances in 18 games.
