Vipers Game Day! – Vipers Host Centennials

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers look to get their first win of 2022 following a 12 day break as they host the Merritt Centennials.

The Vipers (7-14-3-3) come in after a 12-day layoff.  Their last action saw a pair of losses to Salmon Arm on the New Year’s weekend.  Since then the trade deadline has come and gone with the Vipers bringing in three new bodies.  Anthony Cliche and Cade McNelly on the blue line and Copeland Fricker up front.  The Vipers will also welcome back a number of key elements to their team as Ryan Shostak, Luke Buss and Talon Zakall will return from injury.

The Centennials (2-22-1-0) are 1-1 in 2022.  They took down the Cranbrook Bucks 3-2 in overtime on January 2 before losing 8-2 to the West Kelowna Warriors.  The Centennials look a little different behind the bench as new bench boss Curtis Toneff replaced Dave Chyzowski in December.  He has made a number of personnel changes including moving former Viper Nick Remissong to Trail.

This is the first meeting of the season between these two teams.

You can catch all the action starting at 6:45 with the pregame show on BCHL.TV or 107.5 Beach Radio.
