Vipers Game Day! – Vipers Look For 11th Win

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers responded nicely last night following a midweek loss to Salmon Arm with a 3-2 come from behind win over West Kelowna last night.

The Vipers (10-4-1-1) erased a two goal deficit last night to take down West Kelowna by a 3-2 score.  Desmond Johnson scored his first BCHL goal 15 seconds before Nick Kent tied it with a slap shot.  Cam MacDonald scored 7 minutes into the third and the Vipers were able to hold onto that lead.  Roan Clark stopped 15 of 17 for his 4th win.  None bigger than a save with just 10 seconds left to preserve the tie.

The Silverbacks (7-5-2-1) come into the game following a big 3-1 win over the Vernon Vipers.  Owen Say was magnificent in goal.  Cameron Recchi had a powerplay goal, Simon Tassy scored even strength and Drew Bennett sealed it into an empty net.

The Vipers sit atop the Vernon Pod with 22 points, 5 points clear of Salmon Arm and 8 points clear of West Kelowna.  Both Salmon Arm and West K have a game in hand on Vernon.
