Last Game: The Vipers struggled to find a consistent effort last night as they fell 4-3 in Game 1 of the best of seven series.  Hank Cleaves and Lee Parks each had a goal and an assist.  Griffen Barr scored a powerplay goal as the Viper man advantage went 1 for 4.  Roan Clarke made 19 saves on 23 shots.

Tonight: The Vipers will look to even up the series tonight in game 2.  Turnovers cost the Vipers last night.  Two unforced errors ended up in the back of the net.  When this team is on, those situations are at a minimum.  Their defensive game was solid keeping a high octane offense to just 23 shots against.

West Kelowna Warriors

GM & Head Coach: Simon Ferguson

2022-23 Playoffs: GP 1, 1-0

Home: 1-0

Away:

GF: 4

GA: 3

Power Play: 1 for 3 – 33.0%

Penalty Kill: 3 of 4 – 75.0%

Top Scorer: Brennan Nelson (1-2-3)

Last Game: The Warriors were opportunistic last night despite being kept to just 23 shots.  Brennan Nelson had a brilliant performance with a goal and two assists.  Isaiah Norlin and Chris Duclair also had multi point games.  Cayden Hamming was very good in his BCHL Playoff debut making 25 saves for the win.  The Warriors had the edge in the special teams battle.

Tonight: West Kelowna can take a 2-0 series lead tonight.  Their depth was on display.  They’ll look to build off the solid performance from last night where they sent many of the 1041 fans last night home happy.  The Warriors now have 19 wins on home ice between the regular and post season.
