Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers will look to end a modest three game winless streak as they take on the Salmon Arm Silverbacks for the fourth time in the Pod Season.
The Vipers (3-2-1) come in following a disappointing showing against West Kelowna on Monday afternoon. Luke Pakulak had the only goal coming late in the third period to break Johnny Derrick’s shut out bid. For Pakulak it was his first BCHL goal. Things got chippy late and it resulted in some supplementary discipline from the league. Kjell Kjemhus and Elan Barlevwise were assessed fighting majors at the twenty minute mark. Kjemhus was given a 2 game suspension, Barlevwise was given a 9 game suspension and coach of the Warriors Simon Ferguson was suspended for 3 games.
The Silverbacks (3-2-1) are the hottest team in the pod right now having won 3 straight games. Most recently they dispatched West Kelowna on Sunday afternoon. Sullivan Mack has come to life offensively for the group and Owen Say has continued his strong play.
