Vipers Game Day! Vipers Play Silverbacks for the 2nd Time

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers look to keep their winning ways going this afternoon as they take on the Salmon Arm Silverbacks for the second time.

The Vipers (2-0-0) roll into this one following a perfect weekend that saw them down the Backs 4-1 then the Warriors 5-3 Sunday afternoon.  JoJo Tanaka-Campbell had a pair of goals including the game winner.  He and Cam MacDonald had key shorthanded goals to push the team to victory.  The defense continued to chip in with offense as Nick Kent and Seth Bafaro each had goals as well.

The Silverbacks (0-2-0) had two strong performances, but had some trouble putting the pucks in the net.  The registered 33 shots in both games, but could only find the twine one time per game.  Sullivan Mack scored the lone SA goal Saturday night on the powerplay.  Owen Say had a nice game against West Kelowna stopping 38 of 40 in the loss.  The Salmon Arm powerplay is 1 for 8 through 2 games.

You can catch the matinee starting at 1pm on 107.5 Beach Radio and BCHL.TV.
