Vipers Game Day – Vipers Square Off With Smokies in Trail

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers look to get back to winning ways as they travel to the Kootenay’s to take on the Trail Smoke Eaters.

The Vipers (6-10-3-2) come in following a strong weekend that saw them earn 4 of a possible 6 points with wins over West Kelowna and Trail.  Their lone defeat came to the Cranbrook Bucks on Saturday by a 4-2 score.  Luke Lavery and JoJo Tanaka-Campbell had goals, with the former scoring the goal that sent the Teddy Bears flying.  The Vipers are looking to generate some traction on the road.  They have one win away from the friendly confines.

The Smoke Eaters (11-7-1-0) come in following a big 9-2 performance in Merritt on Saturday.  The Smoke Eaters have used home ice to their advantage this season with a 7-3 record.  Trail is 6-4 in their last 10 games.

These two met a week ago in a thrilling matchup that saw the Vipers overcome a deficit in the third period with three unanswered goals.
