Vipers Game Day! – Vipers Tangle With Warriors For 3rd Time

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers look to end a two game winless streak as they take on the West Kelowna Warriors at Kal Tire Place.

The Vipers (3-1-1) come into the game following a much needed day off.  In their previous game against Salmon Arm, the Vipers came from behind to force overtime.  In the extra frame, Sullivan Mack ended it early.  Ryan Shostak scored his 3rd goal of the pod season keeping the red hot powerplay going.  James Porter Jr. was stellar stopping 28 of 30.  Speaking of the Vipers powerplay it continues to produce at a high rate.  They’ve scored a PPG in 4 of the first 5 games and lead the pod in powerplay percentage with 35.3%.  This number is also tops in the BCHL.

The Warriors (2-2-1) are playing the second of back to backs.  Yesterday they fell to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks by a 5-3 score.  Zach Brooks, Ben Woodhouse and Tyler Cristall sparked the Tribes offense.  Zach Bennett was very good stopping 30 of 34.
