Vipers Game Day! – Vipers Welcome Spruce Kings

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers hope to wrap up a 3 game home stand on the right foot tonight as they play host to the Prince George Spruce Kings for the first of seven meetings.

The Vipers (3-4-3-1) come in winless in their last six games.  They most recently fell 4-1 to Wenatchee on Saturday night at Kal Tire Place.  Nick Kent had the lone goal in the result.  The PK struggled on Saturday surrendering two goals on three Wenatchee powerplays.

The Spruce Kings (8-4-0-0) have had an up and down stretch since Oct. 27 as they’ve got 3-3 rotating wins and losses.  In their most recent game they fell 3-2 to the Trail Smoke Eaters despite surrendering just 13 shots on goal.  They are 7-3 in their last 10.  It’s been a home heavy stretch for the team, but it’s been tighter on the road as they are 3-2 away from the RMCA.  They’re powerplay has been red hot to start at just under 37% and they score in bunches tied for first in the league in offense with 50 goals for.
