Vipers Shut Out Wild 3-0

Wenatchee, WA:  The Vipers scored two first period goals and Bradley Cooper stopped 25 shots to pace the Vipers to a 3-0 win at the Town Toyota Center against the Wenatchee Wild.

The Vipers weathered an early storm after being out shot 4-0 in the first few minutes.  Bradley Cooper was solid with a few big saves to keep the game scoreless.  The Vipers got on the board on their first shot of the game as Teddy Wooding knocked home a rebound to make it 1-0.  The Vipers increased their lead after a faceoff win.  The was set up for Michael Young who let a slap shot go off the post and in for a 2-0 Vipers lead.

In the second, the Wild pushed the pace, outshooting the Vipers 10-5.  The Vipers had a bend, but not break philosophy thanks to some timely shot blocks and two crucial penalty kills.

In the third, the Vipers defended their zone with tenacity and really made life difficult on the Wild.  The Vipers killed off another Wild powerplay, but got a bit lucky as a Wenatchee point shot clanked iron.  Matt Kowalski sealed it into an empty net to make the final 3-0.

The Vipers will look to build off this win with another date in Wenatchee on Saturday night.
