Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers have acquired 2005-born forward Connor Dick and the BCHL playing rights to 2008-born forward Ben Bowen from the Chilliwack Chiefs in exchange for Edvin Nilsson.
“Trades like this are never easy to make,” said Vipers GM and Head Coach Matt Cooke. “We recognize the loyalty and dedication Edvin has shown not only to our team, but to the organization and our fan base. We wish him nothing but success in Chilliwack. At the same time, we’re excited to bring Connor into the fold as we push toward the playoffs.”
Dick, a native of Sherwood Park, Alberta, joins the Vipers with more than 112 games of BCHL experience across three seasons with Chilliwack. He has produced at nearly a point-per-game pace during that span and has recorded 15 goals and 15 assists this season. Dick is committed to the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
The Vipers would like to thank Edvin for his contributions to the organization and welcome Connor to Vernon.
The Vipers return to action Friday night, hosting the Okotoks Oilers at 7:00 PM.
