Vipers visit Chilliwack tonight in another must win situation

The 5th place Vernon Vipers (28-26-1-2) visit the 4th place Chilliwack Chiefs (30-22-1-3) in their seventh and final meeting of the regular season.

The Vipers enter tonight’s game in another must win situation after saving their season with a 7-3 victory over Prince George Sunday afternoon.  Vernon still five points back of 4th place Chilliwack will play two of their final three games away from home where they have struggled with just one win in their last nineteen road games.  The Vipers are 7-20-0-1 away from home this season.  The Vipers need to win all three of their remaining games and hope Chilliwack loses all of their remaining four games in order just to make the playoffs.  The Vipers have four wins in their last ten games will finish the regular season with a home and home series vs. Salmon Arm this weekend.

The Chiefs return home after a two game road trip with a 3-1 win in Westside Friday and a 5-1loss in Penticton Saturday night.  The Chiefs need just a single point to eliminate the Vipers from any chance of making the BCHL playoffs.  Chilliwack has won six of their last ten home games where they are 17-8-1-1 on home ice and 3-0 vs. the Vipers this season at Prospera Centre.  Chilliwack will play three of their final four games at home to finish off the regular season.  The Chiefs travel to Cqiotlam for a game with the Express Friday night.
