The Vernon Vipers Hockey Club is proud to announce that Colton Sparrow and Liam Coughlin have committed to NCAA Division 1 programs for next season. Sparrow has committed to the University of Alaska Fairbanks and Coughlin has committed to Boston University.
Colton is in his 4th season as a member of the Vipers. He has been an integral part of this year’s post season success. He is a local Vernon product who has worked extremely hard to achieve his long term goal of playing NCAA hockey. “This is a very proud moment for our organization and the city of Vernon. Colton has been a heart and soul player for us ever since he first put on a Viper jersey. He has worked extremely hard for this and he will be a terrific college player” says Head Coach/GM Jason Williamson.
Liam Coughlin, a native of South Boston, has always had a dream of playing at Boston University. He will add to the list of several Vipers to have moved on to play at this elite level school. “Liam has become a very dangerous player while playing here. He was extremely focused on achieving his goal of playing at BU. We are extremely excited that our program and league was able to help him achieve this.”
