Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers announced today that defenceman Aaron Zulinick has been recalled to the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League.
Zulinick appeared in four games with the Vipers this season, recording two assists.
“We’re thrilled to announce that Aaron has been recalled by the Portland Winterhawks,” says Vipers GM Matt Cooke. “While we’ve valued Aaron as an important part of our group, this is exactly the type of opportunity we want to help our players earn.
“Our program is built around development, and seeing a player who didn’t crack a WHL roster out of camp get called up mid-season is a great example of what can happen when you put in the work and trust the process here in Vernon. We’re excited to watch Aaron take this next step and continue his growth at the next level.”
Zulinick will remain on the Vipers protected list.
The Vipers are back in action Friday night in Spruce Grove.
