Vipers looking for rematch travel to Trail

Tonight is the second game of a home & home series between the Vernon Vipers & Trail Smoke Eaters. The Vipers went 7-0 vs Trail last season.

Since the 2002-03 regular season Vernon is 65-17-1-3 vs. Trail

Since the 2003-04 regular season Vernon is 25-9-1-1 in Trail

Vernon’s last win in Trail was a 6-3 victory on Wednesday, February 18th 2015

Trail’s last win at home vs Vernon was a 6-5 win on Wednesday, February 26th 2014

Lets take a look at the Vernon Vipers:

The Vernon Vipers make their first of four visits to the Cominco Arena tonight will face the Smoke Eaters seven times this season. The Vipers won all three games in Trail last season went 7-0 vs the Smokies last year. Vernon went 15-12-0-2 on the road last year. The Vipers are coming off a 5-3 loss in the teams home opener last night begin a two game road trip. Vernon starts the season playing seven of their first ten games on the road before playing eight of their next nine games on home ice.

Liam Finlay (1-1-2) & Peter Tufto (0-2-2) share the team lead in points with two each.

Lets take a look at the Trail Smoke Eaters:

The Trail Smoke Eaters return home after opening the 2015-16 regular season with a 5-3 win in Vernon Friday will host the Vipers tonight in the teams home opener. The Smokies wont get too much of a rest before getting back on the bus Tuesday playing in West Kelowna for their third game of the season. The Smoke Eaters went 0-3 vs Vernon at home last season went 12-14-0-3 at the Cominco Arena last year. Trail will play five of their first eight games away from home.

Rhett Wilcox (2-0-2) leads the team in goals with two.
