Vipers host Centennials

Tonight is the third of seven meetings this season between the Vernon Vipers & Merritt Centennials. The Vipers lead the season series 2-0

Since the 2002-03 regular season Vernon is 60-18-3-8 vs. Merritt

Since the 2003-04 regular season Vernon is 29-6-1-4 at home vs. Merritt

The Vipers last win at home vs Merritt was a 3-0 victory on Friday, October 16th 2015

The Centennials last win in Vernon was a 1-0 victory on Saturday, October 26th 2013

Lets take a look at the Vernon Vipers:

The Vernon Vipers return home after a three game road trip over the weekend, where they went 1-2 The Vipers are coming off a 4-3 victory in Surrey Sunday are playing their fourth game in five nights. The Vipers have lost three of their last five and are 5-5-0-0 in their last ten games. The Vipers swept a home and home series with Merrit back in mid October have just two wins in their last seven games. Vernon sits 4th in the Interior Division are five points up on Trail and five points back of West Kelowna.

Colton McCarthy (12-4-16) leads the the team in goals with twelve, while Odeen Tufto (7-15-22) leads the team in points with twenty two.

Lets take a look at the Merritt Centennials:

The Merritt Centennials make their second of four visits to Kal Tire Place. The Centennials lost 3-0 in Vernon on October 16th before losing 5-3 to Vernon on October 17th in Merritt. The Cents will be back in Vernon next week on the 18th. Merritt is coming off a 3-2 loss to the visiting Trail Smoke Eaters Saturday begin a two game road trip tonight in Vernon. The Centennials have just one win in their last five are 2-7-0-1 in their last ten games. Merritt sits last in the Division are one point back of Trail and six points back of Vernon. Since the 2003-04 regular season Merritt is 10-29-1 in Vernon.
