The Vernon Vipers didn’t get the results they were looking for Friday night against the Wenatchee Wild. The Wild scored early and often through 40 minutes and that paced them to an 8-1 victory. Wild goals came from Troy Conzo (13), Joe Drabin (14), Blake Christenson (16), Dakota Raabe (20,21), Charlie Combs (15) and Kyle Stephan (22,23). The Vipers broke Chase Perry’s shutout bid miday through the third period with his 20th of the season.
The Vipers will play for the playoffs tomorrow night in Trail at 7:30 at the Cominco Arena.
