Vernon Hosts Salmon Arm Tonight (1-29-16)

Before tonight’s game the Vipers will retire a former Vernon Vipers jersey/number in a special pre-game ceremony. The Vipers are coming off a 6-4 Exhibition loss to the visiting EC Red Bull Salsburg Austrian U20 team Monday.

The Vipers last BCHL action was a 3-2 double overtime win in Trail Saturday, picking up their 20th win of the regular season. Tonight is the first of a home and home series with Salmon Arm, The Vipers snapped a five game losing streak vs the Silverbacks after a 10-5 win in Salmon Arm January 15th. For just the second time this season, the Vipers have won three straight and four of their last five games.

Vernon is 5-5-0-0 in their last ten games sit 4th in the Interior Division are seven points up on last place Merritt, three points up on 5th place Trail, twelve points back of Salmon Arm & fourteen points back West Kelowna for 2nd place. The Vipers have lost three of their last five home games have just six wins in their last sixteen games at Kal Tire Place.
