After the Buzzer – Vipers Double Up on Wild

Wenatchee, WA, USA:  Seiya Tanaka-Campbell scored two goals and Roan Clarke made 32 saves as the Vernon Vipers defeated the Wenatchee Wild 4-2.

Reagan Milburn and Ethan Sundar scored just over 90 seconds apart in the 3rd period before Tanaka-Campbell hit the empty net to secure the victory.  Roan Clarke was only tested 5 times in the 3rd period for his 10th win of the season, one of which was a crucial save shorthanded to keep the score 3-2.

Garrett Sydlowski had two second period goals, one on a powerplay, the other even strength.

Andy Vlaha was solid in the Wenatchee goal crease making  33 saves, including 14 in the 3rd.

Vernon killed off 4 of 5 penalties including a crucial kill in the final three minutes of regulation time.

Wit the win, the Vipers pull 3 points clear of Wenatchee for 7th, and climb one point behind Prince George for 5th in the Interior Conference.

The Vipers and Wild will battle again Saturday night at 6:05.
