After the Buzzer – Vipers Season Ends in West K

West Kelowna, BC:  Ryan Shostak and Zack Tonelli had goals, but it wasn’t enough as the Vipers season came to and end in 5 games after a 7-2 loss.

The first period saw both teams come out with a defensive strategy.  There weren’t a whole lot of opportunities, but both Johnny Derrick and Ethan David were solid keeping it 1-0 after 1.

The Warriors opened the scoring as Chase Dafoe pounced on a turnover to make it 1-0.  The Warriors increased their lead as Brennan Nelson potted home a loose puck after Nick Roukounakis hit a goal post to make it 2-0.  Moments later Charles-Alexis Legault converted to make it 3-0.

Ryan Shostak scored a powerplay goal early on to cut the deficit to 3-1.  The Vipers nearly made it 3-2, but the shot whistled just wide.  The Warriors took advantage and extended the lead once more as Felix Trudeau got on the board.  A short while later Marcus Joughin scored to push the game out of reach.  Zack Tonelli made it 5-2 with 5 minutes left.  That was as close the Vipers would get as John Evans and Zach Reim each had goals making the final 7-2.

The Vipers would like to wish the Warriors all the best in the next round and wish all of their graduating players all the best.

Thank you to the best fans in the BCHL for all the support!
