Express win Overtime thriller to take 3-0 Lead in Fred Page Cup Final.
Coquitlam Express Captain Ryan Rosenthal has engineered yet another victory, leading the Train to a 3-2 Overtime win and a 3-0 lead in the Fred Page Cup Fianl series over the Vernon VIpers.
The Montvale New Jersey native and Fortis BC Energy Player of the Game scored twice to lead the Express to a commanding series lead.
The Express had to battle back once again as they have trailed 2-0 in each of the first three games of the Final Series.
Brendan Lamont scored the first Express goal at 10:29 of the second period in a back and forth game as Coquitlam continued to get stronger as the game went on.
Then it was the Ryan Rosenthal show as the Express Captain streaked down the right wing and snapped the puck past Vernon's Austin Smith with just 1:11 remaining on the clock.
The Express dominated the Overtime as they outshot the Vipers 12-3 before Rosenthal netted the winner at 12:16. Corey Mackin assisted on both the game tieing and winning goals.
Gordie Diefel played the entire 72 minutes making 35 saves in the win.
