Facchinelli Commits to Princeton

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce that forward Julian Facchinelli has committed to Princeton University.

“Julian is one of the hardest working players I have ever coached,” says Head Coach and GM of the Vipers Jason McKee.  “His work ethic and coachable approach has allowed his game to grow and is very deserving to attend a prestigious educational institution in Princeton.”
The Woodbridge, ON product had a really strong rookie campaign with 21 points in 51 games and had 6 points in 11 playoff games.  He’s continued his consistent play with 5 points in 3 games to start the season.
“I’m very excited to get a chance to play Division 1 hockey at Princeton,” says Facchinelli.  “I’d like to thank the Vernon organization for everything that they do and to the coaches and players that are always supporting me.”
The Princeton Tigers Men’s hockey program are a NCAA Division 1 program and are members of the ECAC Conference.  They play out of the Hobey Baker Memorial Rink in Princeton, New Jersey.
Other notable Vipers alumni to have recently played at Princeton was defenceman Michael Ufberg and goaltender Aidan Porter.
Please join us in congratulating Julian and his family on this accomplishment
