Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers would like to congratulate former Vernon Vipers goaltender Andrew Shortridge on his contract signing with the San Jose Sharks in the NHL.
The Eagle River, Alaska product just spent one year in Vipers colours, but it was a big one starting 44 of 58 regular season games. He would post 19 wins, 2 shutouts, a goals against average of 3.15 and a save percentage of .915.
The following year, Shortridge made a large splash with Quinnipiac appearing in 26 games. In 2017-18 he had 25 appearances before ending his college career with record numbers in goals against average (1.51) and save percentage (.940) this past year.
We would like to wish Andrew and his family all the best with the San Jose Sharks.
