Since the 2003-04 regular season Merritt is 10-28-1 in Vernon. The Centennials are coming off a 4-3 victory over the visiting Prince George Spruce Kings Thursday. Tonight is the second game of three straight for the Cents who host Vernon Saturday. Joe Martin takes over as the new Head Coach-GM this season after long time coach-gm Luke Pierce left for the Western Hockey League’s Kootenay Ice. Merritt has six players back from last season went 0-4 in Vernon last year including 0-2 in the Playoffs.
