Vipers Game Day – Vipers Aim For Series Split in Game 2

Vernon, BC:  The Vipers look for the series split in Penticton following a 4-3 overtime loss last night at the SOEC.

Power Play:  4 for 16 – 25.0

Penalty Kill:  14 of 19 – 73.7%

Leading Scorer:  Owen Kim (5G, 3A)  Isaac Tremblay (2G, 6A)

Last Game:  Owen Kim, Carson McGinley and Noah Dorey each had goals and Ethan David made 31 saves on 35 shots, but it wasn’t enough as the Vipers fell 4-3 in overtime in Game 1 of the best of seven series with the Vees.  The Vipers jumped out to an early lead and battled out to a 3-1 advantage.  A late powerplay goal from Penticton then a late goal in regulation forced overtime.  The Vipers were 0 for 2 on the powerplay and killed off 1 of 2 Penticton powerplays.

Last Game:  Anselmo Rego had a pair of goals including the shorthanded game winner early in overtime as the Vees won Game 1.  Billy Renfrew and Callum Arnott also had goals.  Will Ingemann made 21 saves on 24 shots.
